"Kisses For Daddy" Father's Day Gift

I love how my Father's Day gift for my Hubby turned out! It was really easy to make, here is how I did it:

I started with a jar from Hobby Lobby that had a blackboard label on it. I used my Silhouette machine to cut the phrase "Kisses for Daddy" out of glitter vinyl that I purchased from The Buckle Boutique.

Then I ran some burlap, felt and ribbon through my Xyron machine and added them to the jar in layers.

I layered different textures. I love the embossed felt from Kunin Group, it looks just like leather and was just perfect for this project!

I could not have completed this project without using Aleene's Fabric Fusion Tape  That product is my favorite for doing projects with fabric because it is instant stick, and you don't have to wait for it to dry. The denim came from the hem on an old pair of jeans. I advise you to use non-stick Westcott Brand scissors for cutting the fabric tape, they work great and nothing sticks to them.

I love all of the different textures and patterns on these buttons, they really added a lot of interest to the project. The zipper was also from the jeans. I used Glue Dots to apply most of the buttons.

Check out this matching photo frame I made using this frame from Plaid  :)

I love working with different textures and patterns when making gifts for people. I think my husband will really like these :)

Let's be friends!
