Sugar Skull Bride And Groom Beer Steins

Are you going to any weddings on Halloween this year? Since Halloween is on Saturday this year, I have heard of many people doing Halloween themed weddings. This would be a cute idea for the Bride and Groom for the rehearsal dinner! It also combines the Oktoberfest theme as well by using beer steins instead of champagne glasses.

Here is a close-up of the Bride's beer stein

Here is a close-up of the Groom's beer stein.

Here is how I made them:

1. I purchased the bride and groom sugar skull designs from The Silhouette Design Store.
2. I cut the designs out on my Silhouette Cameo machine using Glitzy Glitter Vinyl from The Buckle Boutique
3. I purchased the glass beer steins from the $99 Only store and added the vinyl to each one using transfer paper.

I think they turned out cute! I love to see your projects also, tag me on instagram @TammySmithSantana! Subscribe to my blog for more tips, tutorials and freebies!

"Cheers Witches" Shot Glass Party Display

I was looking around at the dollar store the other day and I came across these cute test tube shot glasses. I thought it would be fun to serve witches brew shots at my Halloween party so I made this drink server. Most of the supplies I had on hand and I put it together in a couple of hours.

How I made it:
I added a little bit of bling from The Buckle Boutique around the top of the test tube shot glasses

I started with a 12 inch Smoothfoam half ball and painted it black with chalkboard paint.

Then I cut 1 1/2 inch strips of felt and added adhesive tape and cut fringe. Then I wrapped it around the Smoothfoam base in layers.

I found the upside down witches legs at the dollar store and decided to dress them up a bit with some Aleene's fabric tape adhesive and Fanci Felt from Kunin Felt.

I used my non-stick Westcott scissors to cut the tape

I wrapped the test tube shot glasses with floral wire and stuck them into the Smoothfoam base I used

I added some felt flowers, a mini witches hat for decoration, and a bottle of witches brew to fill up the shot glasses with.

I think it turned out really cute! Here is the 4x6 printable I used, you can use it also for personal use only :)

Fall Themed Reversible Memo Board

I have had this cool piece of embossed Kunin Felt in my stash for a few months and I was trying to figure out a way to use it in a project for my studio. When I saw this frame at Hobby Lobby I knew right away it would work perfectly with my piece of felt!

I started with this frame I found at Hobby Lobby and painted it with Black Metallic paint by Plaid.

Then I added Peridot, Amethyst and Copper metallic paint by Plaid in a random pattern

For some sparkle I added a couple layers of Purple Extreme Glitter paint by Plaid.

On the reverse side I painted a layer of black metallic and sponged a layer of copper on top for a hammered copper look.

for the memo board in the center I covered a square piece of Smoothfoam with Embossed Felt by Kunin Felt with hot glue

and added a piece of Peacock Kunin glitter felt in the middle as a colorful accent.

Lastly, I added a paper flower with a felt flower center out of the same peacock glitter felt for an additional decoration.

I glued thumb tacks to Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Curio Knobs to make some custom thumb tacks.

I really love how this memo board turned out. I can't wait to add it to the wall above my desk :)

Special Occasion Dog Collar

Are you planning on having your fur baby be a part of your wedding or holiday family photo? It's easier than you think to make this beautiful special occasion collar!

Start with a simple inexpensive collar similar to the one shown above and a piece of rhinestone trim tape from The Buckle Boutique

The trim is sold in one yard pieces as shown above so you can use it for several projects.

1. Remove the heat activated adhesive strip from the rhinestone trim strip and use a glue gun to add glue liberally to the collar.

2. Lay the rhinestone trim piece on top of collar, centering it in the middle so you cant see the pink collar when your pet is wearing it.

3. You can add a silk flower in the color of your wedding for added decoration and to hide the clasp.

4. Let glue dry thoroughly before trying it on your pet.

This is my baby Abby and she loves her new collar :)

Dia de Los Muertos Crafty Blog Hop!

I love Fall and all of the fun home decor items available! I found this large wooden skull at Michael's and decided it needed a little dressing up to make it look more like a Dia de Los Muertos decoration for my front door. You could also cut a skull out of foam core for this if you can't find the same wooden skull.

I painted the skull using Martha Stewart's chalkboard paint by Plaid.

I added a cross applique from The Buckle Boutique and rhinestone stickers and glitter paint for a cool sugar skull effect. I also traced the outline of the features with a chalk marker.

I added a few small tissue paper flowers with flower centers made with  Kunin Felt embellished with a few rhinestone stickers for additional bling.

For the garland I used zip ties to attach Deco Mesh to a strand of orange lights and used more zip ties to add felt flowers, large paper flowers and a few additional Deco Mesh accents to create a unique frame of color for the door.

I love how this project looks at night also :)
