I have had this cool piece of embossed Kunin Felt in my stash for a few months and I was trying to figure out a way to use it in a project for my studio. When I saw this frame at Hobby Lobby I knew right away it would work perfectly with my piece of felt!
HOW I PAINTED THE FRAME:
I started with this frame I found at Hobby Lobby and painted it with Black Metallic paint by Plaid.
Then I added Peridot, Amethyst and Copper metallic paint by Plaid in a random pattern
For some sparkle I added a couple layers of Purple Extreme Glitter paint by Plaid.
REVERSE SIDE:
On the reverse side I painted a layer of black metallic and sponged a layer of copper on top for a hammered copper look.
HOW I MADE THE MEMO BOARD:
for the memo board in the center I covered a square piece of Smoothfoam with Embossed Felt by Kunin Felt with hot glue
and added a piece of Peacock Kunin glitter felt in the middle as a colorful accent.
Lastly, I added a paper flower with a felt flower center out of the same peacock glitter felt for an additional decoration.
HOW I MADE THE THUMB TACKS:
I glued thumb tacks to Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Curio Knobs to make some custom thumb tacks.
I really love how this memo board turned out. I can't wait to add it to the wall above my desk :)
