I love to have pretty things around me while I am crafting. I don't have anything against the standard "tomato" pin cushion that most people use, but why not have an elegant one to look at while you sew? It's so easy to make, here is how I did it...
Tombow XTREME adhesive runner
How to put it together:
Use the frame insert to measure your fabric piece that will fit around several layers of batting and adhere to the back of a piece of chip board. I used Dupioni Silk in a berry color.
Stamp image using the Background Basics stamps and Crafter's Ink. I used berry color ink.
Heat set the ink with a medium hot iron
Cut 4 pieces of quilters batting to match the frame insert.
Place the fabric upside down, add the 4 pieces of quilter's batting and a piece of chip board and stretch fabric around the back and adhere to the chip board with Tombow EXTREME adhesive tape runner.
Place the pin cushion inside the frame
Place the back on the frame
Add some cute pins and that's it! So easy and so cute!
