Hidden Mickey Rhinestone Planner Clip Tutorial for The Disney Pixar Fans Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Disney Pixar Blog Hop!

Disney and crafting are a magical combination, and we are so happy you joined us to day for this blog hop.  Some of the crafters participating in this event have been doing this together since 2011!  Over the years the hop has grown but one thing has always stayed the same . . . amazing crafting projects that feature your favorite characters from Disney and Pixar movies.

Hi everyone! Tammy with you today with a fun Mickey Mouse planner clip tutorial. It's so easy to create cute planner clips with your Cricut cutting machine. I used the Mickey Mouse Symbol cut file to cut these cute Hidden Mickey heads out of rhinestone sticker sheets I found at Joann Craft Stores. Here is how I made mine...

Supplies:

Rhinestone stickers sheets
Cricut cutting machine
Mickey Mouse Symbol cutting file
Paper clip

Directions:

1. Load cut file into your Cricut Design Space and resize to 2 inches square.
2. Place rhinestone sticker sheet upside down on your Cricut Cutting mat. Use packing tape to secure the rhinestone sheet if your mat isn't sticky enough to hold it in place.

3. Cut out at least 2 of the Hidden Mickeys and remove sticker backing from both.

4. Place paper clip between the two stickers and press together firmly.

5. Place in your favorite planner and enjoy!!

DCC Blog Hop With Amazing Casting Products Day Of The Dead Planner Band

Welcome to the DCC Blog Hop With Amazing Casting Products!

Today I have made a fun Day Of The Dead Planner Band using Amazing Mod Putty and Amazing Clear Cast products from Alumilite. I love that I was able to create a high end crystal looking Sugar Skull of my choice using an old key-chain to make the mold. Here is how I made it...

Supplies:

Amazing Mold Putty
Amazing Clear Cast
Sugar Skull key chain
Clear nail polish
Embellishments
Elastic band
Iridescent glitter

Directions:

Take equal parts of the Mold Putty and knead until combined completely.

Place item you want to mold into the putty and let dry for 15 minutes.

Remove item from the dry mold. Mix equal parts of the Amazing Clear Cast per included directions.

Pour Clear Cast into mold add large iridescent glitter to the top. Let set overnight (18-24 hours). Remove item from mold.

Coat with clear nail polish or more varnish if needed to remove any cloudy residue on piece from the mold.

Add clear sequins to the eyes. Glue sugar skull to flower embellishment with hot glue gun.

Attach embellishments to the elastic band with a zip tie. Add to your favorite planner :)

That's it, how cute did this planner band turn out!?! I love that I was able to make a crystal looking version of the original rubber key chain my friend gave me. I love how it looks with the white silk flower.

There is a giveaway! The prize is an ARTIST's DREAM!!! Winner will receive box of Amazing Clear Cast Resin and a 3lb. kit of Amazing Mold Putty. Enter to win by commenting (on one or more blogs) then head over to the DCC blog and enter via the Rafflecopter widget. You will receive one entry for each comment.
