ETI Blog Hop With Ann Butler Designs: Butterfly Party Favors Tutorial

Hi everyone! Springtime is finally here, and I am so happy to share a fun Butterfly Party Favor tutorial with you today for the ETI/Ann Butler Designs Blog Hop!

Supplies I used:
Butterfly candy mold
Glitter
Mixing cups
Stir stick

How I made it:
1. Pour equal parts into mixing cups and mix as per manufacturers directions.

2. Add some Sunshine Iridescent Powder and glitter, and mix until combined

3. Spray release agent into butterfly candy mold. Pour acrylic into butterfly candy mold and allow 24 hours to set completely. Remove pieces from candy mold and connect to form the butterfly.

4. If there are any edges from over pouring, simply sand those off.

I love how this project turned out! These little butterflies will be cute party favors for any Springtime gathering :) I hope this gives you some ideas on how to use the Ann Butler Iridescent Powder Kit and ETI Envirotex Lite for your springtime projects.

Cinco de Mayo Centerpiece Tutorial Featuring Sabor Papel Ole' Collection

Hi everyone, Tammy here today sharing a Cinco de Mayo centerpiece tutorial with you. With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, I was looking for a simple but cute centerpiece idea for our annual Cinco de Mayo party. I found this Roses Lantern cut file on the Silhouette Design Store and thought it would be great cut out of the vivid cardstock from the Sabor Papel Ole' Collection.

Supplies I used:
Silhouette Design Store Roses Lantern cut file
Silhouette Cameo Machine
Dollar Store candle
Fabric flowers
Adtech adhesive runner

How I made it:

1. Purchase file from the Silhouette Design Store and cut the design out of the cardstock.

2. Fold tabs and add adhesive

3. Bring all sides together and form lantern

4. Set lantern over candle and on top of base made from 6.5 inch square cardstock and add some flowers for decoration.

Isn't this a cute centerpiece for a party? The cutouts make it look just as cute at night as it does during the day. Perfect for our Cinco de Mayo party :) I hope this gives you some ideas for centerpieces for parties of your own!

Hi Everyone, Tammy Santana here with a fun and creative clock project for Cinco de Mayo!

Supplies you will need:
Sugar Skull Wood Base
Paper Flowers
Plastic Gems
Therm-O-Web Super Tape
Scissors
Clock Kit

How I made it:
1. Lay the Skull Wood Piece on Top of the floral paper and trace the cutouts. Cut out the paper piece to match the base.
2. Attach the paper to the base with adhesive.

3. Cut 2"x 24"strips of the Oly*Fun Metallic fabric and apply Therm-o-web Super Tape on one side of the back side of the fabric and fold the other side on top of the tape.
4. Cut small fringe like cuts into the strip of fabric being careful not to cut all the way through the fabric.
5. Roll the fabric piece into a flower shape and secure with hot glue.

6. Flip the flower over and press it into the table to separate the pedals of the flower and spread it out a bit.

7. Attach the flowers to the Sugar Skull base with hot glue.
8. Attach the paper flowers on the eyes with gems on top with hot glue.
9. Attach additional plastic gems on the skull where indicated in photo.

10. Insert clock mechanism per instructions through the nose of the Sugar Skull and secure with adhesive foam tape on the back side of the skull.

That's it, easy peasy! I really love how this project turned out. It really looks like it's Fiesta time! I hope this gives you some unique ideas for decorating for Cinco de Mayo!

Pinch Proof St. Patrick's Day Hair Bow Tutorial

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! This morning I thought I had all of my bases covered. My daughter and I made these cute St. Patrick's Day gifts for her friends, so I thought I was done with the St. Patrick's Day projects. But my daughter came to me this morning in panic and told me she needed a hair bow for her friend to match hers! Lucky for her, I had ribbon on hand and my handy dandy Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter on my work table from another project I had just completed.

Supplies:
Hair Elastic
Ribbon

 How I made it:
Use a Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter to quickly cut and heat seal (20) 6 inch ribbon pieces.
Tie each piece around a hair elastic and that's it.

This project always packs a big impact for very little time spent. My daughter's friends always love receiving hair bows from her, and she enjoys making them herself. Maybe she has an Etsy Store in her future?
