Designers links will be located at the end of this post.
Today I am going to share my fun coffee themed coaster tutorial with you. I have been setting my coffee cup on paper towels to protect my desk from getting rings. I decided it would be fun to create a funny coaster to use on my desk instead.
Supplies:
Plastic measuring cups
Popsicle stick or paint brush
6x6 Wood coaster
Chalkboard paint

Directions:

Put a few drops of Ann Butler's Iridescents on the Gel Press mat and roll out to a smooth consistency with a brayer. Paint your coaster with chalkboard paint. Let dry completely.

Lay Ann Butler's Art Screen on top of the Gel Press and use a paper towel to remove some of the paint.

Remove Art Screen and you are ready to print on your wood coaster.

Press your coaster down on the Gel Press with even pressure.

Remove the coaster from the Gel Press and you will have a really cool design.

I added additional faux coffee rings by pressing the top rim of the Iridescents container on my coaster. Let dry completely.

Cut out a fun sentiment with a cutting machine from glitter vinyl and place it on the coaster. Seal the sentiment with a couple of coats of fast dry clear nail polish before using the ETI Easy Cast.

Mix the ETI Easy Cast as per the directions on the box. (equal parts of both solutions in individual mixing cups, pour together and stir for 2 minutes, pour into new mixing cup and stir for another minute)

Place your coaster on top of your Iridescents container to allow for any overflow to pour off the sides. Pour the Easy Cast on top of your coaster and spread evenly with a popsicle stick or brush. Let set for a few minutes and then carefully remove any excess that may have dripped down the side. Carefully set in a safe place and let cure for 24 hours.

That's it, how cute is this coaster on my desk? It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Deflecto Blog Hop - Time To Celebrate Back To School!!

Welcome to the Deflecto Blog Hop!
I have to admit, this is the first time I have used Deflecto products, I am hooked! The quality is top notch, and all of the items I used for this blog hop were really easy to put together. My daughter is about to start a hybrid home school program, two days at school with a teacher and 3 days home school. I wanted to set up a fun and festive school supply tower at home, so she can keep track of her school supplies easily. I also needed a first day welcome gift for her new teacher at school, so this is what I came up with...

Supplies:
3 Tier Dessert Stand by Deflecto

VersaGrip™ Wide Clip Sign Holder by Deflecto

Back to School washi tape from Target Dollar Spot

Tin buckets from Target Dollar Spot
Free "School Supplies" printable

Directions:

Clip the "School Supplies" sign to the Wide Clip Sign Holder.

Assemble the 3 Tier Cupcake Holder using the bottom tier and the top tier only.

Add washi tape to the sides of both of the tiers.

Add tin buckets full of school supplies, and clip the "School Supplies" sign to one of the buckets on the top tier.
That's it for the school supply tower! I really love how festive it looks and I think it will motivate my daughter to keep her supplies organized when she is working on her homework.

Supplies for the teacher appreciation frame:

Beveled Edge Frame 5"x7" by Deflecto

Printable back to school subway art of your choice
Back to school washi tape from Target Dollar Spot

Directions:

Remove the screws from the frame and separate the acrylic pieces.

Use a 5x7 printable of your choice and adhere it to the back piece of the frame with washi tape for decoration and easy removal. Once your photo is centered add the top back to the frame and attach the screws.

That's it, now you have a really cute teacher appreciation gift. The best part is that they can easily change out the photo if they like, because no permanent glue was used to adhere the photo or decorations.
